Sensible bill blocked

On Jan. 30, Democratic senators, by filibustering, defeated legislation that would provide protection for the unborn. By a 51-46 vote, an attempt to override the filibuster failed and thus so did the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. This act would have made it illegal to abort a baby after 20 weeks. Science tells us that at 20 weeks the unborn experience pain just as any human does. It begs the question why any individual would fight against an opportunity to protect the defenseless? It wasn't going to make abortion illegal, but evidently that didn't matter and so Planned Parenthood, the abortion lobby, Hollywood morals, the ACLU, Democrats, et. al., who can rest easy as their diabolical plan, supported by big money, can continue. Of course, Illinois senators Durbin and pregnant Tami Duckworth voted against this common-sense legislation.
