Hollywood 'idols'
Oscar time again. The annual glitzfest where actors and actresses (phonies both by nature and profession) award statuettes to their peers. They dress in gowns and jewelry costing thousands of dollars. The millions they "earn" come from those of us who pay to see their movies. And they are such hypocrites. They protest against the building of walls, yet most live in gated communities. They protest against guns but don't their bodyguards carry weapons? And Meryl Streep once referred to Harvey Weinstein as "God," all the while knowing he was a sexual pervert. Why did she never speak up to save scores of young women from abuse? In my opinion, watching the Oscars is tantamount to worshipping the golden calf.
