Mandate is unfair

The IRS says that in 2016, 6.5 million taxpayers paid over $3 billion in taxes for not having health insurance. In addition, there were several million more taxpayers that opted to buy insurance they really do not need or want just to avoid the mandated tax. This later group would most likely have purchased much less expensive major medical insurance, but that type of insurance did not qualify for the type of health insurance that would avoid the tax. If eliminated, this tax would benefit the very middle class that the new tax bill is aiming for. This is the most unfair tax in existence and should be eliminated.
