More military when nation being gutted?

Trump's legislative program may not be making much progress, but his Cabinet heads are doing a bang up job of making America a polluted, privatized, financial mess once again.

Who needs enemies when our own government acts as an enabler and corporate shill. The health of the people is of no concern to those who wish to pollute at will, privatize our public schools to profit GOP donors, and deregulate the financial sector once again.

That always comes back to bite the taxpayer, but never the perpetrators. Corporate bottom line health is their sole concern.

My question is why do we need more military spending when our homeland is being gutted by profiteers and grifters? What exactly is the Army protecting?
