Hanover Township to distribute holiday meal boxesDec 7, 2023 9:44 AM - Hanover Township will distribute holiday meal boxes beginning Thursday, Dec. 14 through Saturday, Dec. 23, at the Astor Avenue Community Center, 7431 Astor Ave., Hanover Park. Meal boxes will be offered from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. Meal boxes will not be distributed Saturday, Dec. 16. "Due to cost, a recent job loss or for whatever reason, the large, holiday meal is not a reality for many families in our community," said Brian McGuire, Hanover Township supervisor. "Thanks to the generosity of numerous donors and the Hanover Township Foundation, we are able to provide families in need with a meal this holiday season."
