Lamp shades manufacturer takes up new lease
Lampshades, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of lamp shades, now is leasing 16,950 square feet at 5009 W. 66th St., Units H and I in Bedford Park.
The tenant is relocating from a previous site along Ogden Avenue in Chicago.
Elmhurst-based DarwinPW Realty/CORFAC International Principal Ed Wabick and Vice President Chris Mergenthaler represented Lampshades in its new lease.
"Lampshades, Inc. is a local manufacturer that wants to keep its business and jobs in Cook County," Wabick said. "They were happy to find this great space with an ample office and good access to Midway Airport and major highways."
The units are part of a 255,000-square-foot building with 18-foot clear height in the warehouse areas, access to four common docks and 400 amps of power. It also has 2,400 square feet of office space and one drive-in door. The building's infill location makes it ideal for distribution to retailers around the city and suburbs.
Colliers International's John D'Orazio represented the building owner, Mumford Properties, in the transaction.
