Harbor Freight Tools store coming to Elgin

Harbor Freight Tools will be opening a new store at 202 S. Randall Road in Elgin this winter.

Construction already has begun at the location, using local workers and companies from the surrounding area.

"We've been looking to open a location in Elgin for a number of years," said Trey Feiler, senior vice president of real estate and construction for Harbor Freight Tools. "In addition to finding a great location, we were attracted by the availability of great associates in the Elgin area, and we look forward to having them join the Harbor Freight team."

The store is expected to bring between 25 and 30 new jobs to the area, as well as seasonal employment opportunities.

Harbor Freight employs more than 28,000 associates at more than 1,400 stores nationwide.
