The Batavia Chamber of Commerce celebrated new Batavia Chamber member Metanoia Construction Inc. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Aug. 11. The event was held in Metanoia's new office location, 1921 W. Wilson St., Suite A in Batavia. Batavia Mayor Jeffery Schielke presided over the celebration, along with the owners Alfonso and Mirella Aca. Also attending were Metanoia employees Serafin Garcia, David Marin, Sara Ochoa and others. Among the well-wishers were Batavia Chamber President and CEO Margaret Perreault and Shirley Mott, communications and membership coordinator for the Batavia Chamber. Also present were chamber ambassadors, Metanoia vendors, family members and friends.

The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated a ribbon cutting and grand reopening for The Wright Center for Women's Health 1763 Freedom Drive, Suite 117 in Naperville Aug. 10. The ceremony was facilitated with esteemed ambassadors and community members, as well as civic leaders. NACC Board of Directors Ashley Shi, owner of Office Evolution, and Derek McDaniel, financial advisor for Merrill Lynch, both welcomed Dr. Kimberly Wright and The Center for Women's Health to the chamber.

The Elgin Area Chamber celebrated the grand re-opening of Brittain's Touchless Car Wash with owners Mike and Laurel Warren at their newly renovated, state-of-the-art car wash located at 1923 Larkin Avenue in Elgin. Mayor David Kaptain, City Councilperson Rose Martinez, chamber ambassadors, staff, and many community leaders joined in the celebration. This new location is added to the Warren's other business, Brittain's Car Wash located across from Larkin High School at 1572 Larkin Avenue.

On Aug. 10 the Bloomingdale Chamber hosted an After Hours for small business members at Venuti's Ristorante & Banquets located in Addison. Venuti's patio was the perfect setting for a summer evening networking event and their delicious appetizers. Bloomingdale Chamber's next networking after hours is Sept. 14 at Hotworx in Bloomingdale.
