Comcast adds $20 a month streaming option

CHICAGO - Comcast said Tuesday it has launched a value-based option, NOW TV, across Chicago and the suburbs. The new streaming service includes about 40 live channels from A&E, AMC, Hallmark and Warner Bros. Discovery, plus more than 20 integrated FAST channels from NBC, Sky and Xumo Play, and a subscription to Peacock Premium at no additional cost.

NOW TV is available to Xfinity Internet customers for a monthly price of $20, with no equipment required and the ability to sign up and cancel anytime, Comcast said.

NOW TV is built to meet the needs of the value-conscious customer who wants an entertainment product that is simple and convenient with quality programming movies, top shows, live sports and news, the company said.

"NOW TV makes streaming even easier," said Chris Smith, Comcast's Greater Chicago Region senior vice president. "The combination of 60+ live streaming and FAST channels, plus Peacock Premium is a great value for consumers who want simple, convenient, and high-quality entertainment."

Comcast internet customers can sign up and cancel anytime at Xfinity.com.
