Digital Check names new Benchmark president

NORTHBROOK - Digital Check Corp., a leading provider of image capture and payments processing technology, said Preston Herrin has assumed the title of president of its Benchmark Technology Group subsidiary.

Herrin formally joined the company on Jan. 30, following a two-year consulting engagement assisting with the integration of Benchmark and Digital Check, as well as with the launch of the combined company's Avivatech software group.

Herrin takes over for Jack Malinowski, who had been serving as both the chief technical officer and interim president for Benchmark since the company was acquired by Northbrook-based Digital Check in 2021. Benchmark is based in Alpharetta, Georgia.

Herrin previously held executive roles with Drummond, 4Over Inc., and most recently owned and managed HCG Inc., a management consulting firm that has helped multiple leadership teams through growth and performance planning, as well as mergers and acquisitions. He possesses more than 30 years' experience in sales, marketing, corporate strategy and business optimization.
