OrthoIllinois welcomes Dr. Matthew Sorensen

Rockford-based OrthoIllinois, a bone and joint health care provider in northern Illinois, recently welcomed Dr. Matthew Sorensen, a podiatric surgeon, to the organization. Sorenson is accepting new patients at the Algonquin and Elgin clinics.

As a fellowship-trained physician, Sorensen specializes in traumatic injuries as well as congenital and degenerative conditions. He has a special interest in sports injuries and foot and ankle reconstruction using state-of-the-art conservative and nonsurgical methods as his first approach.

Sorenson earned his medical degree at Des Moines University - College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery and completed his residency training at Gunderson Lutheran Medical Center in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. He was accepted into and completed his fellowship training at the Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Center - The Ohio State University Medical Center.

Sorenson has been practicing as a podiatrist/foot and ankle surgeon in the Chicago area since 2014.
