At Home furniture store opens Friday in Arlington Heights

At Home, a furniture and home decor superstore, holds its soft opening Friday in Arlington Heights, after a major renovation project at the 100,000-square-foot big box.

Tampa, Florida-based RPS Capital spent $6.7 million - of which it got $1.3 million in tax increment financing funds from the village - to re-tenant the former Bif Furniture at 750 E. Rand Road in the Southpoint Shopping Center.

At Home, the Plano, Texas-based home decor superstore chain, has a 10-year lease for the building, which has a new facade, roof and parking lot. The store has 50,000 products, including collections from designers Ty Pennington, Laila Ali, Grace Mitchell, celebrity florist Willow Crossley and Tracey Boyd.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends.

A grand opening celebration is planned for March 18.
