Capital Grille to open Skokie location
SKOKIE — The Capital Grille said it will open a new location Friday, March 10, at 4999 Old Orchard Center in the Old Orchard mall.
The new restaurant is part of a national chain of about 60 locations, including Rosemont, Schaumburg, Lombard and downtown Chicago.
The opening of The Capital Grille will create 90 new jobs in the Skokie area, the restaurant said.
The restaurant is helmed by Managing Partner Thomas Dierking and Executive Chef Partner Nick Santangelo. Dierking was previously the managing partner at The Capital Grille in Lombard, where he started as a beverage manager and will celebrate 10 years with the restaurant this year.
Santangelo is new to the restaurant chain but the Chicago native brings 22 years of industry experience. The Capital Grille is a fine-dining restaurant known for dry-aged steaks and a world-class wine list, with more than 350 selections and 3,000 bottles stored in a floor-to-ceiling wine cellar.
