Meeting on proposed warehouses in Carpentersville

CARPENTERSVILLE - Information about a prospective warehouse development at Randall and Binnie roads will be held Thursday, Nov. 17.

The initial proposed development from US Capital Development includes up to three mixed-use warehouse and/or distribution buildings that would allow light manufacturing, office space and logistics, the village said.

The village of Carpentersville will host a public open house from 5-7 p.m. at Randall Oaks Banquet Facility, 4101 Binnie Road in West Dundee, to share information with the community and answer questions on the proposed distribution warehouse center. Representatives from the village and the developer will be present

Contrary to publicized information from outside sources, a diesel truck depot is not part of this proposed development, the village said in a news release.

"We understand there are concerns about this proposal, including environmental and traffic impacts, and I want to assure our residents and other stakeholders there are many steps that must be taken to determine if this project is a good one for Carpentersville," Village President John Skillman said.
