Endurance Marketing Inc. acquires Madison race

MUNDELEIN — Endurance Marketing Inc. said it has acquired Run Madtown, an annual series of competitive races in Madison, Wisconsin.

EMI, founded in 2003, is a full-service, event management and production firm specializing in endurance sports. Run Madtown joins The Fort2Base Race on the North Shore as wholly owned and operated by EMI.

Run Madtown includes a half marathon, a 10K and 5K races, with the 11th annual competition taking place Saturday and Sunday, May 27-28, 2023. All distances will showcase several iconic areas of the city, including the Capitol Building, the University of Wisconsin campus, Camp Randall Stadium and the University of Wisconsin Arboretum.

"We are thrilled to have acquired Run Madtown and will work with the University of Wisconsin and the city of Madison to deliver a memorable event for everyone,” said Beth Salinger, founder and chief event officer of Mundelein-based EMI. “We are ecstatic to add Run Madtown to the EMI family.”
