Hinsdale law firm welcomes new managing partner

HINSDALE - The law office of Martoccio & Martoccio said it has welcomed a new managing partner to the firm, attorney Azam Nizamuddin.

Nizamuddin brings a wealth of experience and an expansive skillset to the practice, where he will be serving clients in the areas of family law, personal injury, employment law and real estate law.

Before joining Martoccio & Martoccio, Nizamuddin served as a trial lawyer and litigator for 18 years focusing on litigation and family law. Later he became general counsel and chief compliance officer of Allied Asset Advisors and NAIT, where he expanded his litigation experience into a transactional practice in the areas of litigation strategy, real estate, RLUIPA, corporate transactions and not-for-profit law.

Nizamuddin holds membership with several organizations, including the Illinois State Bar Association, the DuPage County Bar Association, and the Muslim Bar Association. He now serves as chair of the Appellate Law Section of the DCBA and previously served as chair of the DCBA's Civil Law Section and Editor in Chief of the DCBA Journal.

Nizamuddin previously ran for Circuit Court Judge, where he was rated "Highly Recommended" by the DCBA Judicial Evaluation Committee and "Recommended" by the ISBA Judicial Candidate Advisory Poll.

He has provided pro-bono services to many nonprofit organizations over the years as well as to victims of domestic violence.
