The Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce celebrated the expansion of PhoLicious Vietnamese Cuisine & Bar on Monday, Sept. 12. Jon Tran opened his restaurant in February 2020 and not only survived COVID, but was able to double his space. In attendance are his wife Jen, family, friends, Mayor Franco Coladipietro, Village Trustee Bill Bolen and fellow Chamber members.

The Hampshire Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated the grand opening of Harps Lounge on Thursday, Sept. 8. Owner Garrod Fannon cut the ribbon with his daughter, Harper, 5, and many chamber and community members. Harps Lounge is at 125 W. Oak Knoll Drive in Hampshire.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held recently for Roots and Wings // Alas y Raices, a new nonprofit organization in Bensenville. Its programming currently takes place at the former Green Teen Zone at 302 W. Green St. The mission of Roots and Wings is to create, offer and connect at-risk immigrant families to programs that help them navigate and integrate into our community.
