Groundbreaking for Becketts Landing and The Townes at Becketts in South Elgin

SOUTH ELGIN - M/I Homes of Chicago, one of the top homebuilders in the Chicago area, announced it has started construction on two communities that will bring a combined 348 homes to South Elgin. Located along McLean Boulevard, north of the McLean Fen Forest Preserve and south of Spring Street, Becketts Landing and The Townes at Becketts will include 170 single-family homes and 178 townhomes, respectively.

Representatives from M/I Homes were joined by officials from the village of South Elgin for a groundbreaking ceremony on April 18 that marked the official start of infrastructure and site work for both communities. Construction on the communities' first homes will begin this fall, with completions and first move-ins targeted for early 2023.
