Medline opens sales operations center in Libertyville

LIBERTYVILLE - The 140,000-square-foot Sales Operations Center, 1910 Innovation Way, opened in March after a $14 million rehab. The entire new space is dedicated to Sales Operations, a corporate unit whose mission is to support the teams that sell Medline products.

Most of the 400-plus employees in the new Sales Operations Center relocated from Medline's Northfield headquarters. They, along with another 250 employees co-located in clients' offices, support sales teams globally. With 30,000 team members and business in about 125 countries, it's perhaps not surprising they need that big of an office just to keep their sales humming.

Senior Vice President for Sales Operations Dave Rolston, a 28-year Medline veteran who oversees the teams at the new building would be happy to tell you more about their work there.

Return to workplace

Rolston can also discuss how the return to the workplace is going in the new building. "We're all learning together about return to the office," he says. The company has established guidelines while providing some flexibility to help employees make choices.

The new space is an asset, he says, with state-of-the-art furnishings and amenities like a new gym and game room (arcade games, pool and air hockey included), plus cafeteria and coffee shop. Between lures such as these and face-to-face opportunities, Rolston believes we'll likely see more workers returning soon.
