M/I Homes acquires land for Becketts Landing And The Townes at Becketts
SOUTH ELGIN - M/I Homes, one of the top homebuilders in the Chicago market, today announced an expansion of its Chicago-area portfolio with the acquisition of 84 acres of land for its upcoming Becketts Landing and The Townes at Becketts communities in South Elgin.
Located along McLean Boulevard, north of the McLean Fen Forest Preserve and south of Spring Street, Becketts Landing and The Townes at Becketts will include 170 single-family homes and 178 townhouses, respectively. M/I Homes is on track to start infrastructure and site work in May. Construction on the communities' first homes will begin this fall, with completions and first move-ins targeted for early 2023. Pricing will be announced ahead of the start of sales in June.
