Daily Herald Suburban Business to hold first event since 2019

Daily Herald Suburban Business has announced the names of 80 companies in three categories of competition that are being honored as the 2022 Best Places to Work in Illinois.

This statewide survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Illinois, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses. The 2022 Best Places to Work in Illinois list is comprised of 46 companies in the small employer size (15-99 U.S. employees), 19 companies in the medium-sized list (100-499 U.S. employees) and 15 companies in the large-category (over 500 employees).

In addition, Daily Herald Suburban Business announced the top 33 Best Places to Work for Women, the top 25 Best Places to Work for Millennials and the top two Best Places to Work for Hispanics.

The 80 companies will be recognized and honored at an event May 11 at Abbington Banquets, 3S002 Route 53 in Glen Ellyn. The event runs from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. It will be the Daily Herald's first in-person event since 2019.

The event is $45 per person with corporate table purchases available. Registrations can be taken online at www.dailyherald.com/business.

Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in Illinois. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. Best Companies Group of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, managed the overall registration and survey process, analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final rankings.

The 2022 Best Places to Work in Illinois will also be profiled in a special publication by the Daily Herald on June 26. The final rankings will be revealed at the event.
