Zebra Technologies honored for growing Industry 4.0

LINCOLNSHIRE - Zebra Technologies Corp. Monday said it has been recognized as a winner in the 2022 Manufacturing Leadership Council Awards for its outstanding achievement in the category of Enterprise Integration and Technology.

Zebra was honored for leading the adoption of Industry 4.0 with its manufacturing suppliers. Industry 4.0, also known as the Fourth Industrial Revolution, aims to create a smart and agile value chain operation from the start of the product concept to the end of its life.

The Zebra Supply Chain Technical Operations team embarked on being an early adopter of Industry 4.0 to improve competitiveness and rapid response to customers and markets, spearheading a digitized vision of manufacturing to drive efficiency, the company said.

Zebra also helps manufacturers of all sizes advance their adoption of Industry 4.0 within their own production and distribution networks. Some of Zebra's solutions that drive this computer technology include machine vision and fixed industrial scanning machines, autonomous mobile robots, real-time supply chain locationing, as well as temperature monitoring and sensing, among many others.

"We are proud of the efforts of our collective team who built our Industry 4.0 automation and digitization framework and designed it for future success to enable more cross-collaboration efforts to reduce time-to-market and increase operational visibility," said Ibikunle Ibitayo, vice president of quality, technical and product operations at Zebra.
