IAA expands St. Louis, Iowa locations

WESTCHESTER - IAA Inc., a company that conducts vehicle and heavy equipment auctions, announced the expansion of branches in St. Louis and Iowa.

Capacity has doubled at the IAA Des Moines branch and the St. Louis location has increased capacity by approximately 30%, the company said. The expansions will help to meet increased demand in the growing Midwestern market, according to IAA.

"The branch expansions in Illinois and Iowa will help to meet growing demand from buyers and sellers in the Midwest," said Tim O'Day, president of U.S. Operations. "Our customers will benefit significantly from increased capacity and ongoing investment in our facilities in these key metropolitan areas."

IAA's auctions, digital marketplace and services aid with the sale of total-loss, damaged and low-value vehicles. Sellers include insurers, dealerships, fleet lease and rental car companies, and charitable organizations. Buyers have access to multiple digital bidding and buying channels, as well as vehicle evaluation and transportation services.

The company has nearly 4,500 employees and more than 210 facilities throughout the U.S., Canada and the United Kingdom.
