U.S. Chamber recognizes Naperville business group

NAPERVILLE - The U.S. Chamber of Commerce awarded the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce with a 5-Star Accreditation for its sound policies, effective organizational procedures and positive impact on the community.

This marks the fourth consecutive five-year term that the NACC has received this designation, making it twenty years since NACC was first recognized as being 5-Star Accredited.

"This accomplishment by the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce is an acknowledgment of their truly excellent work," said Raymond P. Towle, U.S. Chamber vice president, Federation Relations and IOM. "These Accredited chambers are recognized for their ability to serve as a resource to their region's businesses while maintaining transparent governance practices, sound financial controls, safe work environments, effective communications, and value in programming."

To receive accreditation, a chamber must meet minimum standards in their operations and programs, including areas of governance, government affairs, and technology. Of the approximately 7,000 chambers in the U.S., only 200 chambers now carry the Five-Star distinction.

"We worked tirelessly to demonstrate to the U.S. Chamber what we do as an organization to deserve this honor," said Kaylin Risvold, president and CEO of the Naperville chamber. "The distinction is a testament to what we do and an honor for not only us, but truly an honor for our members."
