• AVS Companies has announced that Cortney Kinzler is leaving the company after 17 successful years. Currently the director of marketing, Kinzler will be leaving to manage her own growing business in a full-time capacity, as well as to spend more time with her family.

AVS Companies also announced that Keith Krail, who recently joined the company in the digital marketing manager role, will be promoted to director of marketing for the company. Having previous experience in marketing, design and illustration, he brings a wealth of knowledge, creativity and vision that will greatly benefit the company.

• The Western Golf Association, based in Glenview, has welcomed Lindsay Dresser into a new role: director of diversity, equity and inclusion.

This is a newly created position to help the WGA reach diversity goals that are part of its 2030 long-range plan. Dresser will primarily focus on building a more diverse and inclusive culture across the organization, including caddie, Scholar, Director, staff and partner communities.

Dresser will also serve as a liaison and lead within the WGA's DEI committee, assisting HR with talent acquisition, employee retention, and training. She'll also help establish and develop partnerships with key local and national community leaders and organizations to introduce new people and groups to the organization.

• The members of the Building Owners and Managers Association of Suburban Chicago announced its 2022 officers and board of directors. New and returning board members took their positions effective Jan. 1.

• Diana Kenney will retire April 30 from her role as executive director of Downtown Crystal Lake Main Street, a position she's held since 2000. Ben Volling, board president, announced Kenney's retirement. More information can be found at www.DowntownCL.org. The Downtown Crystal Lake board of directors has posted the executive director position on its website, social media and at the national level. The plan is to fill the position in February.
