Shopping center, apartment complex sold in West suburbs

OAK BROOK - Inland Real Estate Commercial Brokerage Inc. Monday said it facilitate the sale of a retail shopping center in Downers Grove and an apartment complex in Glen Ellyn shortly before the end of last year.

The 18,000-square-foot shopping center located at 1728 Ogden Ave. in Downers Grove. Tenants include a restaurant, spa and a local convenience store. Located in a highly trafficked corridor of Ogden Avenue, the property sits on a 1.11-acres and offers substantial parking for shoppers and employees.

The six-unit building at 562 Pershing Ave. in Glen Ellyn was built in 1962 and consists of four, two-bedroom apartments and two, one-bedroom apartments, eight private parking spaces and owner-operated coin laundry machines.

Financial terms of the two deals were not disclosed. Paul Montes and Eric Spiess, senior vice presidents of Inland Commercial Brokerage, facilitated the sales of both properties.

"Our team proved that even among the challenges over the past couple of years, our pipeline of properties and sales has not slowed and 2021 was another excellent year for our clients," Montes said.
