Shopko Optical opens Antioch location

ANTIOCH - Shopko Optical, a growing eye-care chain based in Green Bay, Wisconsin, has opened a new center at 554 E. Route 173, Antioch.

The eye center is the chain's 10th in Illinois. Other suburban locations are in Aurora, Crystal Lake, Elgin and Huntley.

The new center will provide patients with comprehensive eye care services, including eye exams, contact lens fitting, and diagnosis and treatment of eye disease, the 40-year-old company said.

"We are excited to serve the Antioch community," said Russ Steinhorst, Shopko Optical CEO. "With our new location, we can better meet the needs of the community and continue to provide the well-known, patient-centric care that Shopko Optical is known for."

In addition, Shopko Optical's Kids in Focus program will work with Antioch's local Lions Club to identify deserving children within the area to receive a comprehensive eye exam and pair of glasses at no charge from Shopko Optical. Those looking to participate can contact their local Lions Club.

Shopko Optical, the trade name of Shoptikal LLC, is an affiliate of Monarch Alternative Capital LP.
