Elk Grove company names new president

ELK GROVE VILLAGE - Mark Sullivan has been named president of Magnetic Inspection Laboratory Inc. in Elk Grove Village. The company is one of the largest providers of nondestructive testing, metal finishing, coatings and welding services for the aerospace, defense and medical industries.

Sullivan brings more than 25 years of experience to the role of president. He began his career at the Dow Chemical Co. working across multiple applications and markets in commercial, management and leadership roles. He has also previously held the president position at GrafTech International, Cast Nylons Limited, and Buckhorn Inc., successfully improving operating margins and developing new growth at all three companies.

Sullivan is an alumnus of Albion College where he earned his bachelor's degree in economics and management. He went on to earn his master's degree in industrial administration from Krannert Graduate School at Purdue University.

Sullivan will be working collectively with Tim Schiewe, CEO and owner of the family-owned business established in 1942. His deep experience and proven accomplishments will be an asset as he helps to achieve profitable growth and adds long-term value to MIL.
