CDW posts small gain in profit
LINCOLNSHIRE - CDW Corp. said its gross profit in the fiscal third quarter was $826 million, compared to $817 million for the third quarter of 2019, representing an increase of 1.1%.
Net sales in the third quarter of 2020 were $4.75 billion, compared to $4.90 billion in the third quarter of 2019, a decrease of 3.1%, the company said.
Lincolnshire-based CDW is a computer and technology solutions provider to business, government, education and health care customers in the U.S., the United Kingdom and Canada.
"The duration and varying potential implications of COVID-19 on our more than 250,000 customers remain uncertain and unknowable," said Christine A. Leahy, CDW's chief executive officer. "However, we will remain laser-focused on meeting our customers' needs, while being the partner of choice for more than 1,000 leading and emerging technology brands as the technology market continues to evolve and becomes increasingly essential and more complex."
The company's board of directors also approved a 5.3% increase in its quarterly cash dividend. The quarterly dividend of 40 cents per share will be paid on Dec. 10.
