Walmart completes renovation of Bloomingdale store

BLOOMINGDALE - Walmart said Monday it has completed its remodeled Supercenter in Bloomingdale. The remodel includes several department transformations and the addition of innovations such as a Mamava Lactation Suite - or "pod," a free-standing space that provides a clean, comfortable and private option to breastfeed or pump.

that will help customers save time. The upgrades will also complement the measures the company has taken in its U.S. stores to help protect associates and customers from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Other improvements are an updated baby department with stroller garage for customers to view products prior to purchase, a revitalized apparel department, including enlarged fitting rooms with better lighting; state-of-the-art electronics department with interactive displays that allow customers to test out electronics; and an expanded self-checkout area with additional registers and larger bagging platforms.

"We are excited for Bloomingdale customers to experience our newly remodeled Supercenter that is going to make their shopping experience even better," said store manager Patrick Moore. "These new innovations add even greater convenience while also keeping safety top of mind."
