Alexian Brothers honored for cesarean deliveries

ELK GROVE VILLAGE - Amita Health Alexian Brothers Medical Center Elk Grove Village has been recognized as a five-star recipient for cesarean section delivery by Healthgrades.

This five-star rating by the resource connecting consumers, physicians and health systems highlights Amita Health Alexian Brothers Medical Center's clinical outcomes for C-section delivery, which are statistically significant.

"A lot of work goes into our planning and preparation for ensuring the safety and comfort of all our expectant mothers," said Karen Moore, director or women and infant services at Amita Health Alexian Brothers Medical Center. "This recognition shows the teamwork that happens every day to care for our moms and babies, especially those who are at a higher risk for complications."

Healthgrades analysts examined all-payer state data for 16 states for 2016 through 2018.
