Peter Agarwal, CEO/founder of Addison-based lighting manufacture LED Phantom, recently delivered on a pledge to donate 20,000 masks to area medical personnel and first responders in need of the PPE during the coronavirus pandemic. Among the recipients was Arlington Height-based nonprofit Clearbrook where David Boggs o Clearbrook, left and Agarwal hold some of the donated masks.
Isaiah Snapp and Yesenia Villagomez are recipients of the Silver Cross Healthy Community Commission scholarship. Since 2008, the Silver Cross Healthy Community Commission has awarded over $641,000 to individuals on Joliet's east side and Lockport School District 89 who are pursuing a degree in a health care-related field. Rieke Office Interiors in Elgin recently donated 20 SafeSpace Shields to A Safe Haven, a Chicago nonprofit dedicated to ending homelessness. The shields will be placed at the nonprofit's lobby, intake space, education department, and other spaces where the job training and staffing teams can safely do face to face interviews during the COVID-19 pandemic. A Safe Haven President and Co-Founder Neli Vazquez Rowland, left, and ROI President Melissa Kehl coordinated the donation.
