Millennium Bank receives chamber award

DES PLAINES — Millennium Bank, a minority owned community bank, recently received the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce Community Enhancement Award during the Mayor's Annual Address to Business at Manzo's Banquets.

Qualifications for the Community Enhancement Award include initiating a new business development or expansion, business rehabilitation or renovation, substantial increase in employee base; new program development and companies that donate or give back to the community.

In January 2019, Millennium Bank initiated a Charitable Giving & Donation program and has since provided over $60,000 worth of charitable gifts and donations to businesses, nonprofits, churches and schools within Des Plaines and the surrounding communities in 2019 alone — doubling their 2018 numbers of charitable gifts and donations.

“An integral part of our role as an economic engine is our involvement in the communities we serve” said Millennium Bank President and CEO Nicholas Dizonno. “As community bankers, we place a large focus on building relationships not only with our customers, but the communities they live and work in.”
