State Bank Of Geneva appoints new president

Rick Razum has been named chief executive officer and president of The State Bank of Geneva, the bank's board of directors announced Monday.

Razum, who succeeds Christopher P. Barton in the position, has been the bank's first vice president of business development and information technology for the past 12 years.

"Rick has a proven record in initiating and managing change in the rapidly evolving landscape of community banking," said Board Chairman Gregg Nelson.

Nelson added among Razum's accomplishments are the upgrade of the bank's technology platform and developing ongoing relationships "that have increased the bank's loan and deposit portfolios.

"Rick's focus on the bank's community-driven philosophy has been developed by meeting with local small business owners," he added.

Locally owned and operated, SBG recently marked its 116th anniversary in business.

"I feel very blessed, honored, and am excited to have the opportunity to grow the bank, while assisting the community with their economic needs," Razum said.
