Darwin brokers lease for Bensenville building

BENSENVILLE - Darwin Realty recently brokered a lease between Axis Warehouse Management and CenterPoint Properties for the third party logistics company's new 174,178 square foot space at 500 Country Club Drive in Bensenville.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

CenterPoint Properties' Senior Vice President of Asset Management Danielle Radtke and their attorney Jerome Richman of Richmond Breslin, LLC supervised the transaction. Axis Warehouse executives Frank Pagone, Ed Louis and Daniel Goldberg, along with their attorney John Chitkowski of Chitkowski Law Offices, worked with the brokerage team. President Rick Daly of Elmhurst-based Darwin Realty led the transaction, with assistance from Managing Broker George Cibula.

The 1974 building has 22' clear height ceilings, 31 exterior docks and two drive in doors. The new distribution tenant will also use rail siding near the building to bring containers to the area's easily accessible railways. The space has parking for 19 trailers and 48 cars and 6,300 square feet of office space. 500 Country Club Drive is one of very few properties with direct rail access to the building within the O'Hare submarket.

Axis Warehouse Management also occupies a 112,000 square foot building in Elk Grove Village and 300,000 square feet of food-grade warehouse space in Bartlett. The company can transport full truck loads, less than truckloads, and specialized equipment, as well as coordinating door-to-door moves throughout the lower forty-eight states and Canada.

Axis Warehouse Management moved into the Country Club Drive space on Oct. 1.
