Smith & Richardson holds open house
GENEVA - The public is invited to explore and celebrate careers in precision manufacturing during an Open House event at Smith & Richardson Inc.
The open house will be held from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at Smith & Richardson Inc., 727 May St., Geneva.
In addition to tours showcasing advanced manufacturing and technology, attendees will get a chance to talk with manufacturing professionals. Lunch and refreshments will be available, and a bouncy house is provided for children.
Established in 1921, Smith & Richardson Inc. is a valued supplier to original equipment manufacturers around the world. Its precision stamping and slide forming technologies were utilized to produce foundry chaplets, contract stampings, and wire forms.
In 1988, S&R expanded its manufacturing capabilities to include precision machined parts. In 1994, it achieved ISO certification. In 2005, it established an office in Shanghai China to facilitate the formation of satellite manufacturing operation, which began producing precision parts in 2013 in Taichang China.
"Part of Your Success" combines the company's tangible resources of multiple locations and technology, staff with experience enhanced through continuous training and ownership which continues to invest in the aforementioned resources to produce precise, extremely tight tolerance parts.
