Manager Mark Gonzales, holding scissors, was joined by Orland Park Area Chamber of Commerce President-Elect, Ray Klosowski, Mueller CPA LLC; Orland Park Trustee Katsenes and Trustee Healy; Assistant Village Manager Gregg Summers; and chamber members and staff.
Richard Schmitt, left, Ed Schmitt and Aurora Fifth Ward Alderman Carl Franco cut a ribbon to reopen the McDonald's restaurant at 2095 W. Galena Blvd. in Aurora. The Schmitts are owner operators of 21 suburban McDonald's. In addition to the Schmitts and Franco, speakers were Chuck Nelson, deputy mayor, and Edward Bugg, Ninth Ward alderman. Refreshments included cookies, fries, chicken nuggets and a decorated cake.

The Westmont Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau and the village of Westmont recently welcomed RiteWay 2.0 Blueprint LLC, which opened at 138 N. Cass Ave. in Westmont. RiteWay 2.0 Blueprint provides a host of printing services including blueprint, large format and color and black and white printing, photo enlargements, photo scanning, banners, yard signs, and magnets.
Scannell Properties, 555 Innovation Drive in he DuPage Business Center in West Chicago, officially broke ground for a new 250,000 square foot speculative warehouse distribution facility. Attending the event were West Chicago Mayor Ruben Pineda, DuPage County Commissioner Peter DiCianni, and representatives from Scannell Properties, John Greene Industrial, SpaceCo, IMEG and Peak Construction Corp. Peak Construction will design and build the project.
The Geneva Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for Dogtopia, 2423 Fargo Blvd., Geneva. Geneva Mayor Kevin Burns holds the ribbon while owner Dana Champion cuts the ribbon surrounded by family, employees, clients and chamber members.

MNJ Technologies in Buffalo Grove recently flew 36 clients in six helicopters from the Chicago Helicopter Experience to the Autobahn in Joliet for a company event, left. Once the clients arrived at the Autobahn, 50 people raced around the track in sports cars, including Ferraris, Porsches, McLarens and Lamborghinis. Leaders in the culinary industry gathered at the American Culinary Federation's first women's leadership symposium in Orlando, Florida. Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts and Triumph Higher Education Group's president and chief executive officer, Tracy Lorenz, far left, shared real-world solutions for women working in the culinary industry during a panel discussion. The track addressed the lack of women in leadership positions, mental health and wellness, mentorship, education, community, and fair and equitable kitchen culture.
The Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce gathered with the village of Barrington for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of Super G's Cheesesteaks at 117 S. Hough St. in Barrington. "Super G's Cheesesteaks is a modern take on the classic American restaurant," said owner George Csahiouni.
