Conor Commercial expands in Elgin with two new buildings

ELGIN - Conor Commercial Real Estate recently held a grand opening ceremony for Northwest Pointe III, 2801 Galvin Drive in Elgin.

The two new, speculative industrial buildings will be ready for occupancy by the end of the year and together measure over 349,000 square feet. The two new buildings sit on 20.54 acres, have a clear height of 32 feet, 20-28 truck docks per building, over 400 parking spaces and column spacing of 50 feet by 52 feet allowing for vast open areas inside the building.

The $26 million investment will eventually bring new businesses to Elgin, new jobs, payroll dollars and new property tax revenue in excess of $550,000 annually, according to Conor and Elgin officials.

"Developers today are interested in investing in Elgin where there is fast track permitting. Certainty and the ease of doing business are critical to their success and our success," said Elgin Mayor David Kaptain.

Conor Commercial has developed other properties in Elgin just to the south of the development that are currently occupied by multiple tenants.
