Suburban companies make Inc's annual 'fastest growing' list
Suburban businesses fared well in Inc Magazine's 2019 list of the 5,000 fastest growing privately held companies, which was released this week.
A total of 106 suburban firms made the annual list prepared by the New York-based publication. The magazine ranks the companies by percentage revenue growth between 2015-2018, according to Inc's website. All companies are U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent, with at least $100,000 in revenue for 2015 and at least $2 million in revenues for 2018.
The highest-ranking suburban company was PatientBond in Elmhurst, which was ranked 266. The IT system development firm saw a 1,648% increase in revenue during the three-year period with $2.2 million in revenue for 2018.
While no companies have been on Inc's list for the entire 14-year run, several did achieve milestones. Program Productions, a media firm based in Lombard, has been on the list 13 times. Food and beverage company Double Good in Bolingbrook made the list 12 times, Addison-based products and services firm Parts Town has been on the list 11 times, and Impact Networking in Lake Forest made the list 10 times.
"Our 11th consecutive placement on the Inc. 5000 list gives us pride as a Chicago-based company as well as further inspiration to continue to grow and innovate in our industry and in our community," said Parts Town CEO Steve Snower said in a statement.
OSM Worldwide, a Glendale Heights-based shipper of high-volume mailers, made Inc's list for the ninth time, ranking this year at 3,664, with a growth rate of 96%.
