Mason to lead NACVA Illinois Chapter

SKOKIE - MichaelSilver Partner Judy F. Mason, CPA, CVA, MST, MBA, has been appointed president of the Illinois Chapter of the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts.

NACVA is a group of business professionals that provide valuation and litigation services for various types of business transactions. NACVA state chapters provide resources to members and the entire valuation community to enhance individuals' knowledge base, encourage an open exchange of ideas, provide networking opportunities, and support a rigorous credentialing process.

Masom has been a member of NACVA since 2009. She has over 25 years of tax, accounting, business, and consulting, experience and currently heads MichaelSilver's valuation department overseeing the preparation of business valuations.

She has experience successfully defending valuation reports under audit. Mason is an member of the AICPA, Illinois CPA Society, and Florida CPA Society.

She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Valparaiso University, while her Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Taxation were earned at DePaul University. She has also written and edited multiple articles for a variety of professional journals, trade publications, and newsletters.
