Dementia workshop Tuesday in Grayslake

GRAYSLAKE - Teepa Snow, one of the world's leading advocates and educators for those living with dementia, will lead a workshop titled The Journey of Dementia on Tuesday, March 26, at Travanse Living at Grayslake, an Integral Senior Living (ISL) community.

The program is designed to help those caring for someone who is experiencing problems with thinking, memory, language or behavior. It will address a wide variety of common concerns and issues from the earliest stages of cognitive changes until the end of journey resulting in death due to complications of brain failure.

The workshop is presented from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Travanse Living at Grayslake, 1865 E. Belvidere Road, The event will include segments on the best practices in dementia care, understanding the different dementias, and a Q&A with Snow. Refreshments will be provided.
