Donnie Wahlberg to attend Wahlburgers groundbreaking Friday in St. Charles

The groundbreaking celebration for the new Wahlburgers restaurant in St. Charles is set for 10 a.m. Friday.

Donnie Wahlberg and St. Charles Mayor Raymond Rogina will be on hand for the event at 855 S. Randall Road.

“We are so excited to bring Wahlburgers to St. Charles,” Wahlberg said in a news release. “It's been a dream of mine to open a Wahlburgers in the community that Jenny and I have chosen to raise our family in. There is no better way to repay the people of St. Charles, for welcoming us with open arms, than to give back”.

Rogina said St. Charles officials “are thrilled” that Wahlburgers chose to come to the city.

“We look forward to hosting their successful restaurant concept in our town,” he said.

Founded by Executive Chef Paul Wahlberg and brothers Mark and Donnie Wahlberg, Wahlburgers offers a fun, casual music-filled atmosphere. Its interior decor is filled with photos and memories celebrating the brothers' life journeys from Dorchester neighborhood kids to rising chef and international superstars.

Guests enjoy fresh ground beef burgers, signature sandwiches, crispy fries, onion rings, Tater Tots, salads, specialty frappés, beer and cocktails.

Dedicated to giving back, Wahlburgers is active in every community it serves. Wahlburgers has 30 locations throughout North America.
