Elmhurst Hospital earns Leapfrog Top Hospital honor

ELMHURST - For the third year in a row, Elmhurst Hospital has been named a Top General Hospital by The Leapfrog Group for achievements in patient safety and quality. The Leapfrog Top Hospital award is widely acknowledged as one of the most competitive honors U.S. hospitals can receive. The Leapfrog Group is an independent hospital watchdog organization.

Elmhurst was one of 118 hospitals in the U.S. and seven in Illinois to be recognized in the categories of Top General Hospitals (35), Top Children's Hospitals (13), Top Rural Hospitals (17) and Top Teaching Hospitals (53).

The Top Hospital recognition follows Elmhurst's A in Leapfrog's Fall 2018 Hospital Safety Grades that were announced in November. Elmhurst is one of only 42 hospitals in the U.S. to achieve an A in every update since Leapfrog began the Safety Grades in 2012.
