NorthShore announces Transformation and Innovation Fund

EVANSON - NorthShore University HealthSystem has unveiled a Transformation through Innovation Fund that honors Mark R. Neaman, retiring executive chairman of the board and longtime NorthShore president and chief executive officer.

The fund, established through the philanthropy of NorthShore directors, colleagues and friends of Neaman, as well as a targeted institutional investment, will provide vital seed funding for NorthShore's Personalized Medicine and Orthopaedic & Spine Specialty Care programs. It will also support future growth to help improve clinical outcomes and health experiences for NorthShore patients.

As part of a surprise announcement at NorthShore's recent annual directors dinner, Neaman also was recognized with the renaming of NorthShore's Center for Personalized Medicine, which now will be known as the Mark R. Neaman Center for Personalized Medicine.

The Neaman Center for Personalized Medicine will continue to benefit patients seeking diagnosis and treatment based on their unique genetic characteristics and health history.

The fund is a multi-phase project with a goal of raising more than $50 million by the end of 2021, to support key strategic growth priorities in NorthShore's next generation plan.
