Cabot Microelectronics Corp., a supplier of chemical mechanical planarization polishing slurries and CMP pads supplier to the semiconductor industry, announced it has been recognized by 2020 Women on Boards with an Ambassador Award for having more than 20 percent of its board of directors comprised of women.

The award will be presented at 2020 Women on Boards' 7th Annual National Conversation on Board Diversity, in Chicago.

Barbara A. Klein, who has served as a director of Cabot Microelectronics since 2008, will accept the award on behalf of the company. This is the second year Aurora-based Cabot Microelectronics has received the designation. Klein also serves as a director of Ingredion Inc., which is also a recipient of the Ambassador Award.

"We are honored to be a recipient of the 2020 Women on Boards Ambassador Award for the second consecutive year," said David Li, president and CEO of Cabot Microelectronics. "This recognition demonstrates our ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion at all levels of our organization."
