KRB to merge operations with Weiss & Company LLP

Kipnis, Rosen & Bloom Ltd. of Skokie, is merging its practice and operations with Glenview-based Weiss & Company LLP, according to a joint statement released from the two privately held independent CPA firms.

The transaction took effect Nov. 1, and the combined organization will operate as Weiss & Company LLP. Officials for both companies hailed the move as a triumph for clients and employees alike, thanks to similar cultures and expertise.

"KRB brings a wealth of industry-specific experience in financial services, real estate development, recycling and litigation support," said Weiss & Company's managing partner Dan Fortman. "They also add considerable depth in the areas of tax planning and compliance for business, estates & trusts, and high net worth individuals. It's a great fit."

KRB's Howard Bloom agreed. "Synergies always add to efficiency, and this transaction will be no exception. We considered Weiss to be a perfect fit for our professional staff and clients; they share our vision and culture of quality service while always striving to provide their clients with value."

Bloom and fellow KRB partner Rick Rosen join Weiss as full partners. Other KRB staff members making the move include managers Allen Plenner and Jason Field, associates Kyle Versino, Jay Patel and Richard Eichner, and operations personnel Carol Seski, Mary Kreczmer and Kathleen Janessa.

• For 50 years, Weiss & Company LLP has been providing accounting and auditing, tax preparation, and consulting services to clients of all sizes in many different industries. Headquartered in Glenview, the firm is a member of the BDO Alliance USA, a nationwide association of independently owned accounting and consulting firms.
