Mexican grill, nail salon the newest additions at Wheeling Town Center

A Mexican restaurant familiar to suburban residents and a nail salon with a self-serve bar are the latest additions to the Wheeling Town Center.

The Lynmark Group, the developer of the $110 million residential and commercial project at Dundee Road and Northgate Parkway, announced Monday that Mia's Cantina and 312 Nails & Spa will be joining the development.

Mia's Cantina, a Mexican grill and tequila bar, has locations at 143 W. Prospect Ave. in Mount Prospect and 1012 Curtiss St. in Downers Grove. Its new location in Wheeling will have 4,000 square feet of space, including an outdoor patio.

312 Nails & Spa will offer extensive services and a self-serve bar in its 2,500-square-foot space. The nail salon also has a location in Chicago.

Meanwhile, developers have began construction on the anchor tenants at the property, including CMX Cinemas, City Works Eatery and Pour House, and Starbucks.

"Breaking ground last week on our major commercial anchors, we are building on an exciting mix of dining and entertainment with these new additions that will define the Wheeling Town Center," Joshua Goldstein, president of the Lynmark Group, said in a news release. "We have been thoughtful in our selection process, and with several more announcements to come, this center will hands down be the go-to destination on the North Shore."

In addition to about 100,000 square feet of commercial space, the Town Center development will have a five-story, 300-unit apartment building, which is under construction.
