Bentley's Pet Stuff in Arlington Heights grows to 80+ stores

Bentley's Pet Stuff in Arlington Heights is celebrating its 10th anniversary this weekend, having grown from a single location to more than 80 outlets in 13 states. After founder and owner Lisa Senafe lost her two cats to cancer, she decided to open a store that eschewed anything that was made in China or had corn, wheat or byproducts in it. "We were told it wouldn't last," said Daysi De La Paz, the first employee. She will be joining in the festivities at the Arlington Heights store, 90 S. Evergreen Ave. The store and others in the Chicago area will be offering discounts on food, treats and products as well as giving out free goody bags while supplies last on Saturday and Sunday, April 14-15. In addition, $5 from the sale of each stuffed anniversary bunny will go to Feed My Starving Children. More information is at www.petstuff.com.
