Elgin-based Sherman Health announced the addition of Pamela Walker of Batavia as its new emergency department director. Walker has 20 years experience as an emergency department staff nurse and five years of strategic development and oversight of ambulatory sites with Alexian Brothers Health Network.

Kate S. Evans, LCPC, joined St. Charles-based McKane and Associates as a psychotherapist, specializing in teens and in helping women. Previously, Evans was clinical supervisor at Larkin Center and did sexual assault treatment at the YWCA in Glen Ellyn.

Harris, Chicago, appointed Darrell Hackett senior vice president, small business banking. Hackett, who joined Harris in 2004, most recently was senior vice president, acquisition integration and alignment.

Consumers Credit Union named the following Employees of the Year: Patricia Ramirez, counter service representative, Waukegan; Vince Castelli, member service representative, Gurnee; Michelle Wiatr, contact center representative, Waukegan; Alex Garcia, real estate loan officer lending department, Waukegan; Paula Tobey, internal auditor, Round Lake Beach; Jim Eisert, counter service manager, Waukegan.

T. Kendall Hunt, chairman and chief executive officer of VASCO Data Security International, Inc., was named chairman of the board of directors for the Midwest Council of the AeA, a high-tech trade association.

Drury Design Kitchen & Bath Studio, Glen Ellyn, hired Jack Bartoski as an assistant designer. Bartoski has experience in commercial design and custom furniture crafting and holds a degree in interior architecture from Columbia College, Chicago.

SD Retail Consulting, Northbrook, formerly Senn Delaney Retail Consulting, appointed Ernie Deyle to head the firm's shrink reduction and margin recovery practice. Deyle previously served with CVS/Caremark as vice president of loss prevention.

Re/Max North announced that Marina Kolobayeva has returned to the agency as a broker associate. Kolobayeva has experience in buying, selling and renting property for clients.

The North Shore School District 112 board of education appointed Grayslake resident Matt Eriksen as the principal of Indian Trail School effective July 1. Eriksen joined District 112 in July of 2007, as associate principal at Edgewood Middle School. He is a native of the Chicago area and a graduate of John Hersey High School, Arlington Heights.

Theodore C. Parge, executive vice president for advancement at Aurora University, was recertified as a Certified Fund Raising Executive by CFRE International of Alexandria, Va.

Walter Waltz Jr. was promoted to regional deli and food court manager for Costco Wholesale's Midwest region. Waltz, who has more than 30 years of retail food industry experience, has been with Costco since 2001.

The Schaumburg Flyers announced the addition of pitching coach Jim Miksis and hitting coach Brian Nelson. Nelson previously served half a season as field manager/director of baseball operations for the 2008 Frontier League champion Windy City Thunderbolts. Miksis also comes to Schaumburg from the Thunderbolts.
