Batavia BSA Troop 12 hosts 65th annual tree sale

Batavia BSA Troop 12 is celebrating 65 years of selling Christmas trees and wreaths to support its Scouting program in developing the future leaders of the community.

All proceeds stay local to directly benefit the boys of Batavia Boy Scout Troop 12

The Christmas Tree & Wreath Sale is continuing through Dec. 17. Sale hours are: 5 to 8 p.m. Mondays to Thursday, 5 to 9 p.m. Fridays, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays, and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays.

The sale is held at Batavia Skate Park, 411 S. River St. (Route 25), half-mile south of Wilson Street and about 3 miles north of Route 56 (Butterfield).

Prices range from $50 to $150 for trees from 5 to 14 feet tall. Wreaths are $30-$75 for 24 to 60 inches, and garland is $1.50 per foot

They accept cash, check, credit cards or payment via smartphones.

BSA Troop 12 is chartered by the Immanuel Lutheran Church & School and is part of the Ottawa District in the Three Fires Council. The group meets weekly during the school year at the church, 950 Hart Road in Batavia.
